A Moon for the Depths.

The full moon is rising again, casting her ancient light across the land and calling us into deeper awareness, reflection, and connection. This month's moon is the Flower Moon, and she will reach her fullness on Tuesday, May 13th, 2025 at 2:58 AM AEST here in Tasmania.
This full moon rises in the deep and transformative sign of Scorpio, drawing us into the realms of death, rebirth, emotional intensity, and personal transformation. Scorpio invites us to meet ourselves in truth, to look beneath the surface, and to sit with what lies beneath.
A micromoon, she may appear smaller in the sky, but her energetic influence is far from diminished. She invites us to shed old skins, honour our grief and growth, and reconnect with our essence.
Let’s work with her energy in a grounded and reverent way, through the magic of crystals, the wisdom of herbs, and a special Wormwood elixir to open our senses to the unseen.

Crystals to Work With This Full Moon
These stones hold the energy of protection, transformation, deep insight, and inner clarity. Use them in ritual, meditation, or simply keep them nearby:
Moonstone – Known for its soft glow and gentle presence, moonstone supports emotional tides and inner reflection. It helps you track the rhythm of your own feelings and move through change with steadiness.
Selenite – With its translucent, almost weightless quality, selenite clears heavy or stagnant energy and brings mental clarity. It is an ally when connecting to guides and cultivating spaciousness in your thoughts.
Obsidian – This volcanic stone cuts through distortion and brings unconscious patterns to light. It is especially helpful when emotions run deep and the truth is hard to face. Obsidian offers a firm tether to the earth.
Labradorite – Flickering with colour just beneath the surface, labradorite reveals layers of insight and strengthens inner vision. It helps you navigate the mystery without needing all the answers right away.
Smokey Quartz – This earthy and protective crystal steadies the nervous system and filters out emotional noise. It supports clear thinking during turbulent times and brings a practical perspective when intensity rises.
Charoite – With swirling purple tones, charoite moves emotional energy through the body and mind. It helps during periods of uncertainty or transition, and reconnects you with a sense of inner direction.
Garnet – Dark red and full of vitality, garnet restores depleted energy and ignites courage. It strengthens your connection to the body and helps you stay present through emotional or spiritual release.
Place your cleansed crystals outside or on a windowsill overnight to charge in the moon’s light.

Lunar Plant Allies
These herbs can be worked with in teas, baths, incense blends, or simple infusions to support your full moon practice:
Wormwood – A traditional herb for seers and travellers between realms. Its bitterness sharpens focus and opens the inner eye. I’ve been working closely with wormwood in recent weeks, and its spirit continues to reveal layers of subtle guidance. Use it carefully and with purpose.
Lavender – Settles the nerves and quiets the mind. Lavender supports rest, emotional openness, and gentle release of stored tension.
Jasmine – Fragrant and sensual, jasmine is often used in moon rituals for intuition, romance, and spiritual clarity. It invites softness into the heart.
Mugwort – Used across cultures for enhancing dreams and vision work. It opens the doorway between worlds and supports deep inner listening.
Rose – A plant of the heart. Rose encourages emotional expression and can soften sharp edges when working with grief or intensity.
Wormwood Elixir for Dreamwork and Spirit Connection
This blend is potent and should be used with intention. Sip only a small amount before meditation, divination, or quiet evening practices.
You’ll need:
1 tsp dried wormwood
1 tsp dried mugwort
1 tsp dried lavender
1 cup freshly boiled water
A drizzle of honey (optional)
To prepare:
Add the herbs to a heatproof vessel.
Pour the hot water over and cover with a lid or cloth.
Let steep for about 10 minutes.
Strain into a cup and sip mindfully, holding a clear intention.
Note: Wormwood is powerful and not suitable for everyone. Avoid during pregnancy and consult a professional if unsure. Use sparingly and with reverence.
Ritual Ideas
Moon Bath: Soak in a warm bath with herbs and sea salt. Light a candle and invite silence. Let the water hold what you’re ready to let go.
Fire Ceremony: Write down what you’re releasing. Burn it safely under the moon and speak gratitude for what it taught you.
Crystal Grid: Arrange moonstone, obsidian, labradorite, and smokey quartz in a aligned pattern. Sit within or near it and allow whatever needs to surface to do so.
This moon is not one to skim over. She calls you into the deep. Into the forgotten corners. Into yourself.
May this Scorpio full moon hold you with wisdom, and guide you toward whatever is next.
With grounded magic, Lauren
