April's Autumn Full Moon.

With daylight saving ending in Tasmania last week, the farewell to summer feels somewhat bittersweet. Yet, I welcome the return of darker, cooler days, they invite a deep inward shift. As the season turns, I’ve decided to resume my Naturopathy studies at university and with that, a pause on my soul retrieval work. I always knew I would return to my studies, and now, the timing feels perfectly aligned.

On Sunday, April 13, at 10:22 AM AEST, the Pink Full Moon in Libra will peak, bringing in a powerful moment for reflection, ritual, and release. While the name “Pink Moon” stems from Northern Hemisphere traditions referencing blooming wildflowers, it aligns with the inward pull of autumn here in the South. This is a time for harvesting insights, shedding old skins, and honouring the cyclical nature of change.

As the moon lights up the night around 5:30 PM AEST, take a moment to step outside, breathe in the crisp evening air, and allow the soft glow to illuminate the path within.

✧ Astrological Themes ✧

This full moon in Libra casts a gentle light on relationships, balance, and beauty. Libra teaches us to weigh both sides, seek fairness, and move toward harmony in all areas of life. But with the autumnal influence in the Southern Hemisphere, this energy turns inward:

Are your inner and outer worlds aligned?

What emotional clutter needs releasing so you can step into a more apparent energetic flow?

Libra invites deep inquiry into our values, our heart’s truth, and how we relate to others. Use this time to mend what is frayed, release codependent dynamics, and affirm your commitment to self-love and sacred boundaries.

✧ Herbal Allies ✧

Herbs can be powerful guides during moon work, helping to anchor your energy and intention.

Rose (Rosa spp.)~  The sacred heart-opener. Rose softens grief, nurtures emotional wounds, and aligns you with the frequency of unconditional love. Use it in teas or infused oils to create sacred space.

Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris)~  A traditional herb of moon magic. Mugwort heightens dream recall, intuitive vision, and psychic clarity. Burn as incense or place under your pillow for dreamwork.

Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis)~  A balm for the spirit. This gentle nervine calms anxiety, uplifts the heart, and soothes the nervous system. Perfect for tea before ritual or meditation.

Jasmine (Jasminum officinale)~  An ethereal flower that helps open spiritual gateways. Use in baths or diffusers to awaken your connection to divine feminine energies.

Sage (Salvia officinalis)~  Cleansing, clarifying, and grounding. Not just for smudging, sage can be used in herbal steam or bath blends to purify body, mind, and space.

These herbs can be used individually or blended in teas, ritual baths, smoke offerings, or altar arrangements to enhance your full moon practice.

✧ Crystals for Full Moon Work ✧

Crystals absorb, amplify, and direct energy. Under the full moon, they are cleansed and supercharged, ready to support your intentions.

Moonstone~ The quintessential lunar stone. Resonating with the divine feminine, moonstone deepens emotional intelligence and intuition. Meditate with it to connect with your inner cycles and rhythms.

Rose Quartz~ This gentle pink stone opens the heart to self-love, forgiveness, and compassion. Work with it to mend emotional wounds and strengthen loving connections.

Clear Quartz~ The master amplifier. Clear quartz clarifies intentions and magnifies your ritual work. Place it on your altar or carry it during ceremony.

Labradorite~ A mystical stone of transformation. It guards the aura, enhances spiritual insight, and anchors you during times of transition. Ideal for journeying and visioning.

Place your crystals outside or on a windowsill to bathe in moonlight overnight. Offer a prayer of gratitude and intention as you do.

✧ Ritual Bath for Lunar Renewal ✧

Ritual bathing is a sacred way to attune your body and spirit to lunar energy.

Ingredients:

  • 1–2 cups sea salt or Epsom salt (to cleanse and ground)

  • A handful of fresh or dried lavender, rosemary, sage, and mugwort (for purification and intuition)

  • A few rose petals or drops of rose essential oil (for heart-opening)

  • 1 Clear Quartz or Moonstone

Instructions:

  1. Brew the herbs in a large pot of boiling water. Let steep for 15 minutes.

  2. Strain the liquid and add it to your bathwater.

  3. Add salt and rose elements. Place your crystal nearby or in the water.

  4. Enter the bath with intention. Visualise any stagnant energy dissolving, and invite clarity, peace, and balance.

  5. Journal or rest afterwards to integrate the experience.

✧ Warming Autumn Moon Tea ✧

A grounding blend to support reflection, emotional balance, and inner warmth during the April full moon.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp dried Hawthorn berries (heart healer, supports emotional release)

  • 1 tsp dried Cinnamon chips (warming, protective, boosts circulation and energy flow)

  • 1 tsp dried Chamomile (soothing, promotes peace and spiritual insight)

  • ½ tsp dried Orange peel (uplifting, helps clear emotional heaviness)

  • Optional: a few dried rose petals (gentle heart-opener)

Instructions:

  1. Combine all herbs in a teapot or jar.

  2. Pour over 2 cups of freshly boiled water.

  3. Steep for 10–15 minutes.

  4. Strain and sip slowly, ideally during your full moon ritual or journaling time.

✨ You can infuse your intention into the herbs as you prepare them, stirring in a mantra like “I release, I receive, I renew.”

This full moon is a sacred pause, a mirror held up to our inner world.

Let it illuminate what’s ready to be healed, harvested, or surrendered.

Trust your path, your timing, and the wisdom rising within.

Blessings on your full moon journey 🌕✨
